A story and value of a $100

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $100.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $100 bill?”

Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $100 to one of you but first, let me do this.”

He proceeded to crumple up the $100 dollar bill. He then asked, “Who still wants it?” Still the hands were up in the air. Well, he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $100. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.

We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened in the past or what will happen, you will never lose your value.  Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE. You are special Don’t EVER forget it.

You are created by the Creator Himself.  The greatest Designer of All things. And He gave His life for you. That’s how much He thinks of you.

Count your blessings, not your problems. And remember: amateurs built the ark . . .professionals built the Titanic.

If God brings you to it – He will bring you through it.

 

So what If I am a bitch….

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.

When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.

When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts
or do things my way, they call me a bitch.

Being a bitch means I won’t compromise what’s in my heart.
It means I live my life MY way.
It means I won’t allow anyone to step on me.

When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it,
I am defined as a bitch.

The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead
of being everyone’s maid, or when I act a little selfish.

It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am
and won’t become anyone else’s idea of what they think I should be.

I am outspoken, opinionated and determined. I want what I want
and there is nothing wrong with that!

So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash
every ounce of beauty I hold within me. You won’t succeed.

And if that makes me a bitch , so be it.
I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

LIFE LESSONS

All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them

I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.’

I’ve learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights.

I’ve learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you’ll miss them when they’re gone from your life.

I’ve learned that making a ‘living’ is not the same thing as ‘making’ a life.  I’ve learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance.  

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw some things back..’

I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.’

I’ve learned that even when I have pains, I don’t have to be one.’

I’ve learned that every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.’

I’ve learned that I still have a lot to learn.’

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.’
